Call for Volunteers on Creative collaborations in Sport

We would like to start new types of activities that engage our sport members and artists in creative collaborations for interaction with the general public. These activities would include experimental work and productions beyond conventions of sport disciplines or classical art.

They would also allow us to be seen in public less as an isolated LGBTQ community and more as a proactive sport collective interested in contributing to cultural and social innovation.
Based on recent initiatives in sport to engage with topic of diversity and minorities in societies, we would also like to use this interest and show and express our diversity and creativity.

For these activities we are looking for individuals who are interested in dedicating some free time (ca 8 hours a month) and focus during a few months in 2012 to help artists and athletes work together in producing collaborative and innovative work. This is an opportunity to be working with contemporary artists (visual, performance, sound, new media, and community art, among others) in exploring how and where sport can be innovated and support social interaction, create new experiences and knowledge. Creative production work will be a valuable process to experience, resulting in something you take part in as a contributor.

This project includes collaboration with other European LGBT sports clubs. It is preferred that person speaks basic English, but not a must.

Reunió ADI a Barcelona

El passat dissabte 22 d'octubre es va celebrar una reunió de l'Agrupación Deportiva Ibérica (ADI) a Barcelona, acollida pel nostre club Les Panteres Grogues. ADI és una agrupació de clubs i entitats esportives LGBT dins de l'abast territorial de la Península Ibèrica.

Panteres Grogues va fer d'entitat anfitriona i va organitzar diverses activitats lúdico-esportives a part de la reunió de treball que es va celebrar dissabte al matí a la seu del districte d'Horta-Guinardó.

A la trobada van assistir membres de Samarucs de València, Siurells de Mallorca, Elaios de Saragossa, G-Madrid de Madrid, Hegosport de Bilbao i també hi va haver representació portuguesa de l'associació Portugalgay.pt.

A la reunió es van presentar els informes semestrals de les diferents àrees d'ADI: esports, comunicació i recursos econòmics i materials. Es va acordar la realització d'activitats conjuntes i es va decidir la instauració del Premi a la Lluita contra l'Homofòbia.

La trobada va ser valorada molt positivament per les persones que hi van assistir i es va acordar la celebració de la següent reunió a Sevilla.

Des de fa temps, ens havíem proposat d'editar una newsletter del  nostre club esportiu Les Panteres Grogues i finalment, hem aconseguit  fer-ne la primera edició amb la voluntat de continuar-la amb una  periodicitat bimensual.
